Lionfish Mermaid

Lionfish are known for their venomous fin rays, a feature that is uncommon among marine fish in the East Coast coral reefs. Stings from Lionfish are quite painful. The potency of their venom makes them excellent predators and dangerous to fishermen and divers... so much like sirens and mermaids of legends lol... I don't know what got me started on this... Just wanted to draw a funky mermaid and then started looking up different tropical fish, eventually landing on the Lionfish....
